Written Exams
The written exam portion of your driver’s test is used to assess your knowledge of the rules of the road, road signs, and laws that you need to follow while you are operating a vehicle. In order to receive your driver’s license, you must first pass both the written and the driving test.

There are three separate parts of the driving test that you will need to pass before you can receive your driver’s license. These parts include the eye exam, written test, and the driving skills test. Temporary Tags
Temporary tags are necessary if you’ve recently moved to New Mexico but haven’t yet registered your vehicle. At MVD Express, we will gladly provide you with temporary tags that are valid for 30 days. Once you register your vehicle, you will receive your permanent New Mexico license plate!
